2010 was probably one of my best years in a while.
It started out obnoxiously rocky....I mean obnoxiously. But once March came, it was all uphill...ish.
You know, we all have bad times and bad years. But this year, I finally got to enjoying the little things in life.
People always say that you need to pay more attention to the little things to be happy. I always said to myself that the bad things outweighed the good things. I finally started to come around to listening to this in late June. It took half the year, but things were just a lot better when it happened.
The last week of June was when I spent a week at Notre Dame. It really was life changing. It was what made me FINALLY realize that I NEED to look at the small things to be happy.
IT IS SO TRUE.
Focusing on the negative always seems to drain the positive. But when you focus on the positive, you are too happy to look at the negative too intensely.
Wow, this post was meant to focus on my 2010 and briefly run through it.
That didn't happen to the full extent, but it did. This year really made me stronger.
January sucked...February did as well. March was pretty upsetting too. But April...things started to turn.
May was great with 8th grade graduation and all. June and July, though...those were crucial in my life. August was fun and I made the bowling team. September I was deemed as one year older. October bowling season started, and I went down a little bit. November was just kind of there. But December was when things got to be nicer, and the year is ending well. December was when a bunch of small things made my life happy for days.
My coach decided to put me on Varsity in a tournament. We got 2nd. She said she was proud of me for proving myself.
I was so happy that day.
3 little things--> one happy day.
It is possible.
Here's to a positive 2011 for all,
-bowler :)
