Last Post of 2010...

2010 was probably one of my best years in a while.
It started out obnoxiously rocky....I mean obnoxiously. But once March came, it was all uphill...ish.

You know, we all have bad times and bad years. But this year, I finally got to enjoying the little things in life.
People always say that you need to pay more attention to the little things to be happy. I always said to myself that the bad things outweighed the good things. I finally started to come around to listening to this in late June. It took half the year, but things were just a lot better when it happened.
The last week of June was when I spent a week at Notre Dame. It really was life changing. It was what made me FINALLY realize that I NEED to look at the small things to be happy.

IT IS SO TRUE.

Focusing on the negative always seems to drain the positive.  But when you focus on the positive, you are too happy to look at the negative too intensely.

Wow, this post was meant to focus on my 2010 and briefly run through it.
That didn't happen to the full extent, but it did. This year really made me stronger.
January sucked...February did as well. March was pretty upsetting too. But April...things started to turn.
May was great with 8th grade graduation and all. June and July, though...those were crucial in my life. August was fun and I made the bowling team. September I was deemed as one year older. October bowling season started, and I went down a little bit. November was just kind of there. But December was when things got to be nicer, and the year is ending well. December was when a bunch of small things made my life happy for days.
My coach decided to put me on Varsity in a tournament. We got 2nd. She said she was proud of me for proving myself.
I was so happy that day.
3 little things--> one happy day.

It is possible.

Here's to a positive 2011 for all,

I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!

Who wants to hear some great news?

I bet you do!

So SANTA brought me a new wireless internet router!
I was very happy.
Today I decided to set it up.

I am currently posting from my netbook in MY ROOM! My house now has wireless internet and the world is a happy, happy place.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

HEY EVERYBODY! IT'S CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas!

Things look a little weird and not so colorful because I'm posting from my iPod. I'm watching THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE EVER, A Christmas Story. I love it so much!

So last night I was listening to Christmas music. My favorite song is "Do they Know it's Christmas" by Band-Aid. It was a group formed back in the 80's I think. It's all made up of famous people singing for Africa.

But this year, I have a new favorite!!
Shake Up Christmas by Train. I think it really sums up the season and it's just great!
Listen to it!

So people, be merry and nice because...it's CHRISTMASTIME!!!!

6 days!!!!

I MADE IT 6 DAYS WITHOUT POSTING!

I am very proud of myself!
I went on the computer every one of those 6 days...and I didn't even post!

So I don't feel like catching you people up, but I do want to say that:

a) I am SO glad school is out

b) I actually think I did well on my Biology test!! I had form 14 (my lucky number) and I wore 2 different colored socks (also lucky). Plus, I knew almost everything I saw! I was so happy on Friday!

c) Shattered Glass is an amazing movie. Stephen Glass, though...not so much.

That was your update....

Listen to my new playlist to the right ------->
It's good music...or at least it is in my opinion. If you don't like the music....then...well...sorry, it's my playlist!

Happy Holidays Children!

Lucky Socks :)

So today when I was getting dressed I put on two different socks like I used to in 7th grade, and I think it's lucky now.
On Tuesday I did the same thing on accident, and it was a great day, so I tried it again today.

My bus driver gave me a donut!
My friend gave me this really cool necklace she made (I'll get back to her later)
My World History teacher didn't give homework
I shot 185 JV at our match...the coach from Hammond came up to me again and helped me a little
There was actually a coach from our team helping me on JV
I got put in Varsity!!!
I shot 159, but I got my point, which is all that matters.
My coach told me I did a great job.
I went to Portillo's and bonded with my teammates.
It snowed....and still is!

But don't you hate it when you wait till the last day to print your paper for English and your printer is out of ink?
I do.
So I had to edit my paper for English.
It's a detective story in which a bowling ball is thrown through Nicolas Cage's house and a made up Russian guy solves the mystery.
I went to print it and it says "Low Ink-TAKE THE TIME TO ORDER NEW INK" Really? My computer just told me to take the time to do that?
Anyways, it prints half the paper, then decides to print in braille.
I FREAKED OUT!
But my previously mentioned necklace-making friend printed my paper for me!

So yeah, I think wearing two different colored socks is lucky now :)

Procrastinating

Who is sick and doesn't want there to be school tomorrow?
ME!
Who was thinking about a month ago "Oh, I know half of the 1st Amendment anyways, so I'll just wait till the last like, week to study it," then forgot until the night before?
ME!
Who has to read two detective stories, each about 20 pages, by 12:30 tomorrow?
ME!
Who hasn't touched their Biology Study Guide since Thursday and has to have it finished to review tomorrow?
ME!
Who just got a call PRAYING it was their school saying there's a snow day and finding out that it was just their grandma instead?
ME!
Who loves the snow?
ME!
Who wishes there won't be school tomorrow, or at least a two hour delay?
ME!
Who doesn't know what Tuesday will be though because we're skipping a blue day?
ME!
Who's going to be at Notre Dame again this June?
ME!
Who's STILL wishing they had a facebook?
ME!
Who just finished wrapping gifts today?
ME!
Who's eyes hurt because of sinus pressure and staring at a computer in an otherwise pitch black room?
ME!
Who cried while watching Jack Frost last night?
ME!
Who loves The Santa Clause movies?
ME!
Who is mentally questioning their superintendent for not cancelling school by now?
ME!
Who has "Frosty the Snowman" stuck in their head right now?
ME!
Who is just posting because they don't want to read detective stories?
ME!
Who just remembered that they have to write their own detective story by Friday?
ME!
Who should probably get off the computer now?

Another New Obsession...

Just in case I'm not obsessed with enough stuff, I've got another thing.

All Time Low!!

I don't know why, but their music is just amazing to my ears. Right now, I'm listening to Remembering Sunday, and it's just sounding like...oh I can't even describe it. Describe it yourself: <3 All Time Low- Remembering Sunday <3

Oh, and today I was unexpectedly forced to run a mile in gym. Thank you very much whatever president established those stupid standards. Gee thanks. And also, thank you for killing my gym grade. Gee thanks!!!

MY 10 most Fascinating

I love Barbara Walters. Last year I had to write an essay about a "legend". Her and Bono were the only people on the list I was interested in, so I took her. It was amazing doing research about her. She was a pioneering female journalist, and personally I find her worthy of the list I'm about to present.

Tonight, Barbara revealed her most fascinating people of 2010. I agree, yet don't.
Her list included:

-Mark Zuckerburg
-Justin Bieber
-Jennifer Lopez
-Jersey Shore Cast
-Lebron James
-Sandra Bullock
-Betty White
-Kate Middleton
-Sarah Palin
-David Petraeus

I'll just go in order of whether I agree or not.
-Mark, you deserve it...you made Facebook, which is ironic because I just posted about wishing I had a facebook. I agree with Barbara

-Justin Bieber...well I do think he does have a good voice, but I don't like his personality too much. He won some award for his song "Baby". Ok, congrats...but Ludacris helped and he didn't give him any credit. Really? And I think he's letting the fame get to his head a little too much, but not as much as most, which I give him credit for. Considering his fame, though,  I agree with Barbara.

-Jennifer Lopez...ok she's the new American Idol Judge? Big deal. Disagree.

-Jersey Shore cast-believe me...I'm not thinking that these people are cool by any means...but I do agree with Barbara's decision because a lot of people are intrigued by these people. Listening to them talk was just so funny though. I mean...something "Snooki" said was like "what the heck!?!?!" But I do think it was a good decision.

-Lebron James? Really? Disagree.

-Sandra Bullock. Agree. I loved the Blind Side, and her year has been crazy. Agree with Barbara.

-Betty White. She's so cute! I love old people! ...sort of....only some of them. However, unlike some, I've had mostly good experiences with the elderly folk I've met. Anyways...Betty White is so lively for 88....I agree with Barbara.

-Kate Middleton. Ok, yeah it's cool that she's engaged to Prince William...but none of us want to hear about the woman who took him from his millions of other girlfriends. And it's not even that reason, but I just don't think she's that fascinating. Don't agree with you, Barbara.

-Sarah Palin. Wow.....seriously. I can remember way back in 7th grade asking my social studies teacher during 9th Period: "hey, who did John McCain pick for his VP candidate?"
"the governor of Alaska...Sarah Palin or something like that". I was just like why her? Nobody knows her! Now I'm thinking "why her--everybody thinks she's crazy!!" Honestly, I think absolutely nothing of her politically, but as a person....just wow. I don't even know what to say about her. But believe it or not, she's still kind of fascinating. Agree with Barbara.

-David Petraeus...I SWORE he retired a year or so ago..but I guess I was wrong. He was named the most interesting person of 2010. I mean, he is really high up in the military and is doing some good stuff in Afghanistan I guess, but why him? I don't really find him fascinating. He's a good guy, but not really fascinating. I don't know, that's just my opinion and I disagree with Barbara.

But when I think about it, I can't really think of better people to put in. The only one that comes to mind (and I'm going to hate myself for this later) is George Clooney. I don't think he's good-looking at all, but he went all-out for Haiti back in January, and is crazy about helping starving African Children. I think he's kind of fascinating. Really at the moment, he's the only person who she probably should've put on the list.

But believe me, there are many, many fascinating people out there-they just haven't done anything worthy in 2010.

Loving my old English essay about Barbara,
-bowler :)

I need a facebook

-every one of my friends
-my teammate's dad
-people I just meet for the first time, think I'm cool, and then ask
-my teacher!

The list above is the list of people not only thinking that I need a facebook, but the list of people who told me they'd make me a facebook. I really do. I need something to do that everyone else is obsessed with, too. I need to find old friends from preschool. I need to find people I met at Notre Dame. I need to stay in contact with the people I will meet at Notre Dame. I need to find my relatives that I only talk to/see once a year. I need to keep in contact with not only bowlers from other schools, but my own teammates once the season is over.
I need a life.

And really? I've presented all these reasons and more to my mom but I'm still not allowed! I'm sorry, but when I've got my own teacher saying that I need one, then a parent should know that obviously, they're being irrational. The only thing I'll add as a slight defense is that my mom is old, and this teacher is young. Only leeway I'll give to that statement.

So for now, all I have is this blog, and watching a British guy on Youtube reading/mocking Twilight...I LOVE HIM!!!

Day 29

Yeah, I skipped a lot.
I'm kind of tired of that list. It looked fun at first and I'm like "Man, I'm going to make my blog AMAZING with this thing!" Yeah, so much for that.

So here I am at Day 29....GLEE!

I
Love
Glee!

I think it's got a great concept, and these people are all amazing singers....for real. I'm pretty sure I already praised Glee a few posts ago, so you can just read the old one because I'm too lazy to re-type all that stuff.

So things have been quite hectic lately with homework and bowling and such. So I probably won't be blogging on a daily basis anymore....
Ha, what a joke. I probably will anyways :)

So long, farewell,

Day 14, Plus Bowling

Ok, day 14 first. Lucky me, I'm an only child. It's gots lots of pros, but lots of cons, too.
Pros being that I get spoiled for no good reason by my grandma, that my mom and "santa" always go all out on me for Christmas, and I don't have anyone to annoy me at really bad times...'cept my mom.
Cons....it's lonely :( I have so many board games and when my mom would be like "I don't want to play...I can't right now", I'd have to play by myself and I would seriously just play as like 3 people. I'd always curb the rules so that one of my alter-egos would win. Person #3 would never win. It was always either me or Person #2. But besides that.....

Only childhood: not so great, but not so bad...

Then yesterday was the Boone Grove Invitational for bowling! It was so fun...besides the fact that I was in a bowling alley from 11-5 with no food except about 8 M&M's. But on the brightside, I bowled pretty much the whole time on varsity (because there was no JV) and we got 2nd!!! I'm so happy! Yesterday was just great.

Time to get back to finding similes and metaphors in an Edgar Allan Poe story....fun.

Day 12 (Not Really because I was going to do this anyways)

I LOVE HARRY POTTER.

So I was just watching the Goblet of Fire with my mom. We were at the part where Harry is battling the dragon and it breathes fire at him. I was thinking as I was watching it...Man, I wish I could breathe fire...
I mean, how cool would it be? If someone's annoying you, you could just breathe fire all over them and be like "Ha, take that!"  And if you're ever trapped in the wilderness, you can just make yourself a nice warm fire. And when your bus driver has a stupid sub who's running 10 minutes behind when it's 25 degrees, you can keep yourself warm.
Then later I'm at the part where Dumbledore is trying to get everyone to shut up at the second part of the Triwizard Tournament. He just puts his wand to his neck and his voice is amplified a bunch. I sort of wish I could do that. I mean, it'd get me noticed at events like concerts. Then, the band would be like "wow, who's that cool kid over there?" Then I'd live happily ever after, the end.

Loving snow :)

Day 11

This is a hard one...my 3 favorite bands. Ouch.
Well....just to start, there's The Fray, The Script, U2, The Beatles, My Chemical Romance, (most recently) All Time Low, Green Day....wow this is hard to choose.

Um....My Chemical Romance...U2....um...The Fray (because the world would end if I didn't say so)

My Chemical Romance just released a new album. I LOVE it!! I love them, and I love the album.

U2...they're classic! They're still great even though they've been around since the late 70's. They have more Grammy's than any other group (22), and their songs have good meaning (Sunday Bloody Sunday being the best...just saying)

And The Fray...THEY ARE AMAZING LIVE!!! I saw them in the Summer of '09...amazing!
When they came on stage I started crying I was so happy! I RARELY cry tears of joy...but I did that day!

But in other news, I watched the mitosis part of Twilight today in Bio. Wow. it wasn't even fun to watch because I missed the part where Bella awkwardly bites her lip....silly Kristen Stewart!
After Bio I stood in line for 15 minutes waiting to buy my Otis Spunkmeyer cookies...I got some of the last few cookies :) But I couldn't even eat them in my next class...so anytime I opened my backpack I had their scent just pouring out.

Then I got home. I got a piece of mail that made me verrrry happy :)

Loving....? Hm..what do I want to love today? Hmm....loving the times I had on the JSJ,

Day 10

Yeah, I skipped days.

I think I really need to cut down on my Blogging, but I wanna finish the list thing, so I'm only doing ones I like. Day 10-My pets, and any pet I wish to have.

WELLL....

I have no pets. My mom is allergic to cats and dogs, and she thinks that small things like hamsters and whatnot are gross. And she doesn't think I could take care of fish. So yeah, no pets.

But if I could choose any pet, I'd take a moose. I'd name him Marvin because that's the only male name that I like that starts with an "M", besides Miles...but somebody already took that name! :)
I actually drew Marvin with chalk in my grandma's driveway during my birthday party, and I took a picture of him, but I'm too busy trying to re-install everything on my stupid computer to upload it.

Day 4

I love my friends.

Kristi!
Ashley!
Caroline! (who I know won't see this)
Jill!
PRISCELLA!

So Kristi....Kristisaan...Kristi Krab....Nicolas Cage's girlfriend...whatever.
You make that screaming metal deathtrap they call Bus 19 bearable.
Really, we really started getting to know each other towards the end of 7th grade and now we're like, best friends.

Ashley....BATES!...human centipede eater :) just kidding
So yeah, we go back to like, 3rd grade man. In the last year, though, she's given me so many laughs.

Caroline...wow...we go back about the same amount of time. Bowling buddies all the way! With the HS team, we've gotten a lot closer as the JV kids...but that's ok! BECAUSE WE HAVE FUN!

Jill....Jill.i.An......yeah. GREAT times in Merit the past 4 years....today itself was great! Jill is just there to make you laugh....or be all like "wow, that sucks. and so do you" XD ok, not really...but I'm pretty sure it has happened.....lol....Jill's great

PRISCELLA!!!....dude...good times..... Besides the fact that her brother is a "creep with no boundaries", she's pretty awesome. Lunch in 8th grade was amazing...and will never be the same in high school. :(

So yeah, as I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm not good at the mushy gushy stuff.

Oh, and because I have this strange feeling that this will be brought up later...
Amy is my best World History buddy...just saying...

So yeah, that was today's lame post. And by the way...I think I'm addicted to Blogger...

Days 2 & 3

So, obviously, I didn't feel like doing that survey thing yesterday.
So here's yesterday's and today's.

Day #2:
I do not have any tattoos. Maybe if I can think of something good enough, I will one day. As far as body piercings, only my ears--but I rarely wear earrings....rarely.

Day #3:
My favorite show is Glee!!!
In case you've been living in a cave for the last year and a half, Glee is about kids in their high school Glee Club. A lot of them are misfits and stuff, but that's what makes the show great. The cast is made up of AMAZING singers! Lea Michele is great, and so is Chris Colfer...and Cory Monteith...and Matthew Morrison...and Mark Sallerman...and the girl who plays Mercedes who's name is totally being blocked out of my mind right now. I own every CD they've ever put out, except for Volume 4...but that just came out today and I asked for it for Christmas :)

Loving Glee!
-bowler :)
So yeah, there's that.

Bowling Today...

Today was full of memories of Mr. Ameling. Just saying.

So today was the second day I was named to the Varsity roster (last time I didn't play).

We always start with a little team huddle and at the end me and another girl were like "Let's win this for Mr. Ameling."
Sorry, Mr. Ameling.

We bowled Baker games, which is where 5 people bowl one game (One person has 1st and 6th frame, another has 2 and 7, and so on)

We bowled 10 of those for our position round. We won 1. But I am proud to (finally) say that I was bowling that winning game!!

My coach put me in for the 8th game and kept me for the next two. I had 4 strikes and left 2 frames open :(...meaning I didn't get a strike or spare.
Although, I don't know if that's considered 3 games or not, because it was only 6 frames. Just saying.....

So yeah, intro tomorrow!

Yessssssssss!

The World We Live In

In case nobody has noticed, this world is not always fair.

Right before her 84th birthday, a woman finds out that she has lung cancer and maybe a month.
30 year old kids die and their mothers find their bodies.
58 year old teachers loved by all die.

Mr. Ameling at Kahler died today. Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
I've found myself saying that since I found out.
He was my gym teacher in 7th grade, and health teacher last year. He was an amazing teacher. He was so dedicated to his students.
He loved them, and always pushed them to do their best. He knew who his wise and smart students were, and he let them know it.

It's a freaking shame that he had to go. It really really really was.
The sad part of it all was that if this had been any other teacher that this happened to, he would've been the one that would be there to console his students. That's just the way he was.

It's kind of creepy because in Biology today...as all of the stuff was going down most likely...my friends and I were just happily talking about his class. And on the way home on the bus, one of my friends was upset about something totally different, but I'm just not the best at making people feel better. Then all this weird stuff happens...

The world is just cruel.....
and weird things have been happening....
And I'm not happy with the world.

Mr. Ameling probably would frown upon what I just said, but it's the truth
However, the Beatles have been helping me. "Let It Be" has been on repeat for a good 20 minutes now.

But who knows? Maybe this was his sick way of expressing what he told our class early in the quarter: "Carpe Diem"- Seize the Day. Maybe we're supposed to learn from this. Maybe we're not supposed to, but we will.

Mr. Ameling, you will be greatly missed :(

My middle name

So my friend had this thing on her Blogspot and told me to do it too, so I guess I will.
Something I'm starting to understand less and less is why people are always so mean about revealing their middle name. Mine's Elizabeth. My mom's middle name is Elizabeth, too. We both have that name because it was my mom's mom's mom's (great-grandma's) first name. So it has some significant meaning. I kind of like it. I mean, like EVERYBODY'S middle name is Elizabeth! I mean seriously! SO MANY PEOPLE! But it's ok...I mean it's not some obnoxiously weird name like Ursela or something like that. Plus, It has a Z in it! Z is a cool letter! So now I have two Z's in my name! So yeah, those are my thoughts for Day 1.

Loving challenges (haha, not really...only fun ones!),

Crazy Weekend!

From Friday to today was weird.

Well on Friday, aside from the tree-trimming and gift wrapping, we found out that my great-aunt not only has lung cancer, but it spread and she only has a few weeks to a few months. She just turned 84 yesterday.

Then Saturday, I had my regular league for bowling, then I did the Thanksgiving tournament. I didn't do so well. With handicap, I only shot in the 620's. Oh well...

Then today...weird.

So this guy from around here who's an exempt pro bowler won this huge tournament back in August, and it was televised today! So I watched that at my grandma's house.
Then we're putting up Christmas decorations and we see all these cars and silent ambulances going to the house next to my grandma's. It's on the corner, so the back of the other house faces my grandma's side. We couldn't see what was going on, so my grandma went and asked a family member of the guy who lived there. It was weird because right before my mom and I got there, the guy's mom came over to my grandma's house and goes "have you seen him lately?" Umm...no? My grandma comes back about 5 minutes later. "He's dead." My mom and I are like "what?" This guy's like not even 30 and lives alone, so noone knows what happened at this point, and we're all freaked out.

I don't know if I should have something like that on my blog...you know...in case cops see it and all that jazz.....so if this is probably a security risk...then yeah...TELL ME PEOPLE!

So after that stuff, my mom and I went to my great-aunt's house to see her. She seemed in good spirits, which was good. She kept wanting to give me candy...I felt bad saying no. Then her son gave me his old bowling ball that he hasn't used in like 20 years. I don't know if it'll be useful, but we'll see.

Black Friday

No, I didn't go shopping.

I got into the Christmas season!!!

I woke up at 10:45...which felt so good. I put up the Christmas tree a few days ago, so today I added the ornaments while blasting the Glee Christmas CD through the living room. Ha ha, my grandma gave it to me yesterday as a gift because she "doesn't give Christmas CD's as Christmas gifts." Then when the CD was done with, we put on the Christmas station and when a song came on that my mom loves, she turned it up so loud that it blasted through the whole house. It stayed like that for an hour then I got fed up and turned it down.
Then we ordered Chinese food and I'm dead serious.-we called at 2:38. The guy was at our door at 2:50. It was great.
Then I started wrapping gifts...and listening to Christmas music. I think I've heard "Happy Christmas" by John Lennon at least 4 times today-2 of some other version, and 2 legit Lennon.

So I've never seen all of the Wizard of Oz, and my friend demands that I do, so I'm going to go do that now :)

Loving my Christmas tree!!!

Just a Thought...

The world is just crazy...
Whenever something bad happens...I don't know why but I always find the worst in the problem before I look for solutions...and I know that I'm not the only one in the world to do this. A problem comes along, instead of thinking of how I can get over it or fix it, I think of the negatives.

I don't care...I'll post this to the whole world:
I am the only girl on the team who has yet to bowl a Varsity game.
I've been shooting 200's left and right lately, but have yet to bowl Varsity. I've given up all hope in bowling a Varsity game.
Don't call me a quitter, because I'm not.
I just don't have hope.

But then I remember that I have friends.

A true friend is always there for you.
They twist things from depressing to funny as heck.
They always listen to you.
They always put up with you when you get on the bus and all you can say is "Man I'm freezing"
They listen to whatever you have to say about your new crush or whatever, then say "jeezus, shut up already! Someone's a little too infatuated!"
They always check for your approval before they do something potentially creepy.
They let you use their Facebook account just to see one picture because your mom won't let you have an account.
They let you listen to their weird German rock music on the bus.
They are always there to give you awesome color combinations for your blog posts.
They always know how to turn a frown upside down.
They don't care how annoying you get..5 minutes later they forget about it.
They make you listen to their crazy celebrity obsessions, but do it so constantly it's more funny than annoying.
They always follow you places (not stalker-ish) because your too scared to do it alone.
They always tell you you're wrong until you figure out they're joking.
They tell you that your emoticons are lame...just so you know.
They will straight-up tell you that your mom's friends are weird.
They will straight-up tell you that your mom is weird.
They always point out when you fail at something...even though you already know it.
They make fun of Nicolas Cage with you.
They make life fun.
No matter what, they always make you smile. :)

They give you hope that you will make it through your Biology test, bowling match, family function...they give you hope that the world still has some good in it.

Loving my friends.... <3

PS-I now have hope again :)

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

Hey people!

PLEASE help me! I have to sell 24 more raffle tickets for bowling. They're $5 each and I have until next TUESDAY to do it! Otherwise, I'll owe my coach $120 out of my own pocket! I need your help, people!

Yesterday in Geometry this kid goes "why are you pushing that so much?" Why he asks?
Well that's because we get a whopping total of $0 from the school.

Our coach works for free (as far as I know)
We pay for
-lane rental
-equipment
-jerseys
-practice time (only twice a week)

We pay all of this by ourselves. Please, help the bowling team :)

DANGER DAYS ARE HERE!!!!

MCR Fans?

Any of you?

THE DANGER DAYS ARE HERE!!
Yes, today, My Chemical Romance's new album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys has arrived!!!!

Here's the Full Album...listen to it!! OR ELSE!

I am so happy :)

But....I may have a problem.
My amendment project may have to be posted here. It's because I don't know if it'll work on VP's computer. It didn't work on my friend's, and I'm scared it won't work now. So before I get yelled at for being unprepared, there's a chance that it'll work. I tried to go and try it out in SRT today, but noone was there! I'm really scared that my project won't work...but it's so good! It's definitely an A. For sure...

Ok, well....now time to figure out any other methods to have the video ready to go tomorrow besides a flash drive.

Happyish bowling day :)

So today isn't over yet, but at the moment it's good.

I went to the bowling alley, and I finally got my new bowling ball!
Then we're about to get started and and then I found out that I had the high game/series for the girls last week! They announced my name and everything.
So today I started out with a 213, and I was happy. Then I shot 147 and was kind of upset :(
Then I came up with a 237! My high game! It's not the best, but you know...it'll suffice to qualify for the Pepsi Tournament :)

So today isn't over, but later I'm working on my First Amendment project, which I'm going to say now, will rock.

Loving my new bowling ball :)

My Fail at Homeostasis

On a lighter note....
First off, I would of made 1 whole post, but I needed at least one that wasn't too whimsical.

So today I was waiting for the bus and I was freezing! I get on and it's even colder! I'm like "Man I'm freeeezing" to my friend. She goes dude, and points down. She was wearing a skirt! She's like "I'm in a skirt and I'm fine! You should be too!" So we get going more and she's like:
"You shouldn't be this cold still. That's because of homeostasis! I think your homeostasis is broken."

Homeostasis-->one biology concept that I actually understand! :D
For those of you who don't know what it is, it's the way your body reacts/adjusts to the cold and warm and all that jazz.

Mine's broken :(

Loving homeostasis...

:P

Ugh.
All I have to say after today is Ugh. I tried, and I got nothing but approval and happiness from everyone else, but the only one that matters...doesn't care.  UGH!

Inquire if you must, thank you, and good night.

Or as all the cool people say,

Sir Bowlsalot :D

Today I was almost dubbed "sir bowlsalot" (bowls-a-lot for those of you who couldn't distinguish)

Then it was changed to Lady Bowlsalot. It's so true! I had a match yesterday, practice today, and a match tomorrow! Then I have regular league on Saturday, and maybe a tournament? If I'm up to it...
Then I'm bowling again on Monday!
...in case you didn't know...

So today I started my application for Squiver. It really sounds fun! I was decieved into thinking it wouldn't be...but it should be! I can't wait. Then I have my First Amendment project. It will be epic...just a heads up! You will all love it and laugh hysterically. I guarentee it. Oh, and for those of you who were just on the edge of your seats reading about my Biology struggles, I took the test today :( Definitely a C.
So yeah, now I have to finish my family tree for French!

Not a Win-Win Day

So today was ok. Just ok.

In SRT I hard-core studied some biology stuff with my friends. I have a lot of it memorized, but there's some work that could be done.

I was shooting for 100% on my geometry test....I got a 95%. It felt worse than it shoud've.

Then my bowling meet. I bowled JV both games and shot 234 and 216. I was so happy, and I had so much fun. I had people from other schools saying I was good...I even had a coach from another school tell me that I was really good. He compared me to a Women's professional!
Bowling well was bitter-sweet, though.
I bowled these good games, but since they're JV, they don't count for anything! And after my 234, I didn't bowl Varsity. All the other JV people around me are like "why are you still here??" Well that's a good question.......because I don't know.

But yeah, JV only goes by singles, not teams so there were kids from like 4 different schools on my lane. They were all guys, except for my friend, and all of them were really nice to me. So it was a lot of fun.

Well....we have another meet on Thursday...I'm curious to know how that's going to go.

Aggrivating Afternoon

So today was quite philosophy-filled.

First revelation: People are aggrivating, thus I aggrivate.
It's so true! I mean, despite what some people might think, I used to be a pleasant kid. I really was. In fact, I still can be. I KNOW people think I'm aggrivating  at times. If you're one of those people, odds are...it's nothing against you. It's my way of reacting to other aggrivating people. I probably should channel my aggrvation somewhere else, but being obnoxious has been and always will be fun as heck.

Second revelation: Technology has killed social skills.
Who know it? Our parents/grandparents were right!
Every blue day I wait for my friend to come from her class before I go to my bus. Well, she decided to take a long time and we were the last ones on the bus. So, we couldn't sit together. I had to sit by this sophomore who was texting and listening to her iPod. Really? I don't even know this girl's name! I sat there the whole bus ride thinking to myself like really? iPods hinder conversations without the word "creep" being thrown in there. So you have secret conversations with people via text! This is what our world has come to!!?!?? Then the worst part of this is that it makes you think. It turns obnoxious, deep-thought haters into deep-thinking philosophers who come up with blog posts while on their bus!

Well no more revelations: just annoyances.
First of all (because it's the shortest): I just hurt my knee so freakin bad. My grandma decides to call when my mom is unable to answer the phone, so I have to jump out of the nearly-immobile chair and smash my knee on the desk. HURTS SO BAD!

Then BIOLOGY HONORS.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING!!!!
I can memorize the info, but nothing makes sense at all! What makes even less sense is how I got an 88 on the last test. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?! I didn't understand any of the stuff we learned!
This is what I think I'm learning. Note: there's no notes in front of me at the moment, so if I were taking the test now, these would be my answers!
Glycolysis makes ATP? NO! It makes energy that makes ATP? I don't know? Krebs cycle rotates 2 times? Calvin Cycle rotates 6 times or else the atom isn't stable? Krebs Cycle produces NAD and H, and they combine to make NADH? Some type of cellular respiration drops phosphate groups that make glucose? What!?!?! Glucose breaks into pyruvic acid because it can't diffuse through the mitochondria membrane in its regular state. This is glycolysis?
If anybody reading this notices before 3rd hour Wednesday that I'm hopelessly lost in this class, just please, help me! I'm a smart kid who can't handle B's and C's on my report card, much less a GPA less that 3.9.
Then today I'm sitting there getting ready to take notes when I hear "..this is your last class before the test" WHAT!?!?!

Why? That's my question? WHY did I say "Well even if I don't want to major in anything remotely close to biology, maybe I should take Bio Honors instead of normal freshman science."? WHY did I listen to my science teacher last year when she told me I could handle this class? Why didn't I drop this class when I realized that everything I'm learning is pure memorization rather than understanding? WHY am I losing my mind over this!??!!?!?

Biology is confusing. (This is the short version of it)

Ok...rant over.
And before I have people wanting to throw detentions at me for criticizing a teacher. NOT LEGAL! AGAINST THE RULES! I am not criticizing my teacher, I am simply saying that I do not understand anything. Actually, I'm criticizing myself because I'm so lost. And to clarify, I do not have DVP as a teacher.....

MAN I complain a lot. Just ignore the endless ranting on this...

Great Columns!

Ok, so today in Intro, we read part of a bunch of Matthew Tully columns.

I feel weird...I'm on some Quiver person's computer because like NONE of the regular ones work and I just feel really awkward.

Anyways, this column was talking about a bunch of kids in one Indianapolis Public High School. Apparently, the school has some problems. There's a LOW graduation rate, and Matt Tully takes it upon himself to write a bunch of stories about these kids and their lives.

They're some pretty great columns!
I like them :)

I know I should be more detailed...but I'll do a better post when I'm not so distracted by a bunch of pictures staring me down...like Justin Bieber, my friend's brother...and who I think is James Franco. Maybe not though. Oh, but there is Rupert Grint. Good old Ron Weasly :)

Well yeah, I'll update later.

Funny day!

Today was awesome!

So I had World History, which is always awesome, and we played this review game. For the final question my team risked all their points and put their trust in me to get the right answer...AND I DID!! It was awesome.

So then, afterschool I hung out with some friends. We caught up on things because it's been a while...and we got a pinata just because we could. It was epic.

Then I went to get a new bowling ball because mine's kind of like, not a legit spare ball. And bowling ball shopping is way more fun than it sounds! Ha ha. Here's what my new ball looks like:

Columbia 300 White Dot

Then I went to my mom's friend's house and got Christmas stuff out of her attic. I was scared as heck that I was gonna fall and break my neck! But it was fun manuevering around an attic!

So yeah,

Today was quite fun.

Oodles as some may say.
But you know what? I have a bunch of Jane Eyre to read by Monday at 12:30... :( sad.

I guess I might wanna work on that...

Toy Story :)

I just finished watching Toy Story 3 in Intro Journalism!

Bah! I love that movie!!

I didn't cry, though. I wanted to, I really did, but that stupid Zyrtec keeps my watery eyes all happy and not-watery.

But as far as toys go....Tickle Me Elmo! He was my love.

Wow...I just looked up to the immobile clock and saw this huge picture of Anderson Cooper staring me down. It's just a litttttle creepy.

So Elmo, we have some family films of my grandma giving it to me...so great.
Sad :( He's in the basement now. He's in the back room that I refuse to go into without a haz-mat suit.
I should salvage him sometime...

NO! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE YOU!

I recieved some disturbing news today, and if it's true I might have to pull all my hair out.

So, according to my undisclosed source, Quiver and Scout will be merging next year for their classes because they're getting rid of SRT. AND we have 2 straight class periods of it!! I can't do that! I always thought that no SRT would result well for me! Now I can't take psych! AGGH!

Ok, there was my rant.

Now my paranoia...

So I'm on my way home thinking about something this kid told me in geometry: "Yeah my bio teacher said he's quadrupling his consequences on kick a ginger day" So I was like "Ha ha, I forgot about that! When is it?" and he said the 20th. So I'm sitting there on the bus thinking "wait, the 20th isn't a saturday". Right when I realize it is, I look and see only the 20 part of someone's address. Then I look away from the address and see the speed limit sign: 20! AGHH! The number 20 is haunting me! And guess when my birthday is...SEPTEMBER 20TH! Something is quite strange about this particular number...

Wow...somebody's a tad paranoid...

Wishing I were at the ABC HQ's from the Newseum (Ms. W, one of the many reason I wished I was at the Newseum the other day) As you can tell, I always see who comments on my posts...nobody else does! :( am I really that boring?

Sure, why not...

Funny Story...

So today was pretty good. We had home-made popcorn (that was amazing, thanks again!) and watched Toy Story 3 in journalism!! I was amazed. We didn't finish, and now we have a weekend-long cliff hanger :(

English was sad. I did a re-take on my stupid gerunds test that I got a 47% on in the first place. I got a 43% on the stupid re-take! HOW DID I DO THAT!?!?!? I actually studied! I totally violated my middle school no-study policy to do this, and I still got a stupid 43! This just goes to show that I wasn't crazy back then when I made this up...I was totally sane!

Aside from that...

So today my mom and I decided to break out a few old family movies. My mom and I were both tortured with songs that I learned in my little Catholic preschool that seemed cute at the time, but got old after about 10 years.
Then my 5th birthday party...no joke...it was a Toy Story party!! Then for Christmas that year I got a Buzz Lightyear toy! I find that extremely ironic with today being like "omg jordan hates toy story...what the heck" day. yes jordan, we all saw you laughing, so don't try to cover it up.

Well, time for the weekend...YES!

Wishing I were at the Newseum,

NANANANANANANA!

I LOVE THIS SONG!
NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
NANANANANANANA!!!!
Can you believe someone can stand saying that so many times in a row?
I could barely type that thing! I just hit "N" everytime I heard a "na". It was like what I shoulda been doing yesterday in Bio with my lab. "Yeah DVP said his class had kids who couldn't count the bubbles, they were just like 'tick! tick! tick!' and someone counted the ticks. Some had like 500!" Yeah. Not so much...Our largest number was 7. There goes my bio grade....

So back to the song...
NA NA NA just pumps me up! My Chemical Romance itself just pumps me up!
Really, I have more energy now than I did yesterday after I was conned into buying a Vanilla Latte at Starbucks. Yeah, my mom was Christmas shopping yesterday. So she made me go hide in the Target Starbucks until she was done and the lady conned me into buying it. Yuck.

So NANANA makes me think of bowling, and cuz my best bowling friend showed me the song. Bowling......
Oh, so today's practice.
I'm 90% sure there was a quiver person there! Very very distracting. But I still shot 183 and 167! and did pretty good in Bakers...so ha! btw-no flash photography in bowling! It's a rule...
Another rule-I have to pay my dues! I already paid most of it, but I still have tickets to sell!!! $5! Possible $2100 to win! You want to buy one...you know it.

Ha ha, so moving on.

ugh. verbals/gerunds re-test tomorrow...there goes my 4.144 GPA.....oh yes..4.144
