Hi readers.
I am quite bored, and my throat hurts.
My life is so saddening.
I'm reading a new book--Brave New World.
The first 3 chapters were good, but Chapter 4 either just got boring or I was just tired because I'm sick.
This sucks.
Well, yeah.

More than 11? Why not?
So today I exceeded my 11 movies. Sort of.
Earlier, I was watching Pretty in Pink with my mom. But I missed the first 15 and last 30 minutes.
It was....ok.
John Hughes is supposedly an amazing director. Considering I haven't seen his other movies, I guess I can't totally judge him.
Right now, I'm watching Hairspray, too. I've seen this movie a million times, but it's still good. I LOVE the music. I can't really choose between this and the Sound of Music, though :(
But I know a lot more random things about Sound of Music than I do Hairspray. That's for sure.
Well, time to continue watching. And maybe eat some Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream because it's the best thing EVER.

Mission Accomplished.
I fulfilled my movie promise.
All 11 movies. Done.
What. Now.
So my last movie was Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Oh Snape....why'd he go bad?
Well, he was bad to begin with....but still, why'd he actually show it this time around and not hide it from Dumbledore.
Anyways.....good movie :)
Honestly...I probably will hit 12 or 13 tomorrow.
I'm proud of myself :)
Loving Gilmore Girls (I've watched about 12 45-minute episodes this break alone)

10 Down, 1-5 to go!
Today, I watched the Sound of Music.
But it wasn't just the DVD.
It was the Anniversary Edition on Blu-Ray, with the sing-along and trivia and all.
Oh yeah, I was one happy camper.
Well...on to movie #11!

9 down, 2-6 to go
I really must have no life.
So today I couldn't think of what movie to watch, so I picked a random one.
That random one was Finding Nemo.
Honestly, I don't really have much to say about that movie.
It's Pixar--I love Pixar.
That's about it.

8 down, 3-7 to go
Another movie down today.
Let's just say I totally relived my childhood today.
Nothing was on TV. Except for Tarzan. So I watched it.
I really don't have too much to say about it, except it's kind of cute. And its soundtrack is amazing, thanks to Phil Collins
That's all I have to say about Movie #8

Got another movie out of the way today.
Rugrats in Paris.
Yeah. I watched Rugrats. Be jealous.
Ok, I only watched it because there's little bits of French in it and I wanted to see what I could figure out.
That movie is sad. Little Chuckie wants a new mommy and it's just super sad :(
Well yeah, sad movies = my life.

6 down, 5-9 to go
My 5th and 6th movies were achieved today.
Today, I watched School of Rock and Inception.
School of Rock is a great movie. That movie was literally MADE for Jack Black. It's so quoteable. I can pretty much recite that entire movie anyways :) The only thing is, though, the main plot is pretty implausible. Really. It's a substitute teacher who turns his students into a rock band.
WHAT!?!?!? Not plausible. But that's ok. Because the rest of the movie makes up for it.
Then my other movie today was Inception.
THAT MOVIE. ASDFHGKLAHFDJKHFSFHSD
Yes. Because that's English...
It's just.......wow.
That movie has like 5 plots going on at once, yet at the same time has no plot and is just like "Let's see what happens in various levels of dreaming and try to plant ideas in their heads!"
It's just.......ugh. Crazy.
But really...it is a good movie. The effects are just...great. And the acting is really good, too.
The only thing is, though, you just can't be a logical thinker. You just have to go along with everything.
Well, I still have 5-9 movies to watch. So maybe I'll start on #7?

4 down, 7-11 to go
Well, the 4th movie added to my list was Post Grad.
In this movie, it has Alexis Bledel (from Gilmore Girls) and Jane Lynch (from Glee), so the cast in itself is pretty amazing. Then the plot's kind of interesting.
Alexis's character graduates from college and is trying to find a job (and a guy...but mainly a job).
There's some pretty funny parts in it, too.
But my mom hated it. I bought it myself today because I went to one of the closing Borders and got it for 40% off. It was really one of the only good movies they had left :(
So yeah. That was Post Grad.

HAPPY 100TH POST TO ME!
Yes, fellow bloggers. I have reached 100 posts!
Well, besides that.
3 movies down, 8-12 movies to go.
Last night I watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
I really love this one. The epic battle in the end is just amazing! And it's so funny. Every time I watch Harry Potter, I find out something different. It's probably stuff I would of already known, but I didn't actually read the books. Too lazy to.
Oh yeah, this Spring Break will be great.

2 down, 9-13 to go.
So, Spring Break hath arrived!
I WILL watch 11-15 movies like I said.
Well, I got 2 down.
I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Thursday & Friday night, along with this morning. It took me that long to get all of it.
Now I'm watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I suppose I could do a review over all the movies I'm watching this Spring Break.
Well,
Harry Potter 1 is just cute because of little 10-year-old Daniel Radcliffe. But Hermoine is just a snob.
Harry Potter 4 is sad at the end. I really don't like Robert Pattinson at all, but it's sad when Cedric dies. My mom cries every time when the dad realizes he's dead.
In other news, my friends and I walked about 8 miles today. We probably covered the entire Northwest section of our town, but I'm sure I've walked more than 8 total today. I'd say at least 10.
I'll continue to update with movies watched.

Something New
Well, I think I'm pretty good with blog updates, but here's something to share.
Recently, my friends and I tried out for the freshman play, which is actually 4 1-Act Plays.
I spent half of Tuesday night trying to convince my mom to let me try out. She actually agreed for once in my life.
Wednesday, I stayed after school to give my monologue, then Thursday was callbacks.
I was in the library for 3rd hour, and my teacher let my friends and me go see the list for callbacks. I was called back for 2 of the 4 plays!
So yesterday I had to stay afterschool for 3 hours to audition for the plays.
Today, I came to school and got off my bus early so I could see the final list.
Turns out, I get to play this woman who dresses up as a male cop. I still don't exactly know why she does, but she does. I think this is going to be fun, especially since one of my best friends is going to be in it with me, and my directors are really cool.
Well. My arms really hurt for some reason and typing isn't helping.
Oh. I know why my arms hurt. I helped my group of 5 people make 70 hot air balloons out of paper in World History. We won that game! Heck yes....
Ok.
There's my new post

After Easing on down Route 41...
I "eased on down the road" to the school auditorium to see our school's production of
THE WIZ!
It was a great show. One of my best friends, Ashley, was a munchkin, a flying monkey, and a random dancer that I can't identify. So basically, I only went to support my friend.
But I'm so glad I went!
It was a great show. The songs themselves weren't too grand, but that's not the actors' faults. However, those singing the songs: they were great.
The dancing was great, too. Even if I am a little biased, I must say that Ashley and Zac were probably the most enthusiastic and energetic dancers.
But besides that, I had a great time.

Biology
So at the end of that last post, I lied.
I'm continuing the rant. But with something different.
I have a B in Geometry right now and an A in biology (but theres only 9 worksheets and 1 test). There's something wrong with this. Of all my classes this year, besides Intro and French, Geometry makes the most sense. Biology makes the least. Yeah. My grades don't make sense.
However, we just took some big tests in both, so that grade will change soon.
So for the main rant: Biology.
It just makes no sense. None. I know I failed this test. After talking to my friends, I know I missed a whole bunch. And I've said that I'm lost and confused. I'm just told to read the book. I'm pretty sure that book is written in a foreign language.
Ok. I just needed to rant about that, too.

I'm bored.
So I was supposed to go to see the school musical, the Wiz, tonight. But my mom didn't feel like driving me.
So I decided to do things that all kids do when they get bored: go through their parent's old high school yearbooks. I grabbed my mom's freshman year yearbook from 1976, which was also when my uncle was a senior. That way I could look at both of them and how nerdy they looked.
I was looking at all the clubs and stuff my uncle was in.
Holy Crap.
So apparently, he was the editorial editor of their school paper. And he was part of "Quill and Scroll," which was some organization that picks the top journalists who rank in the top 1/3 of their class.
Then I called my grandma and asked her about it. Turns out that SHE was in Quill and Scroll way back in 1953! My grandma was on her school's newspaper and just now told me. To that, I must say wow.
And my mom was on her school's newspaper, too. She was also Editorial Editor and in Quill and Scroll. Seriously, before today I didn't know any of this--just the stuff about my uncle.
All I have to say is HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS BEFORE!?!?! You would think that me taking a journalism class would make them say "Oh yeah, I was part of my high school's newspaper, too."
But what sort of scares me is that all 3 of them were on staff, and 2 of them were editors, but none of them made anything of it. They grew up to be a pharmacist, secretary, and teacher, respectively.
I don't think I could handle doing any of those. No. I could handle pharmacist or secretary if I had to, but I will NEVER be a teacher. MAYBE I could handle being a journalism teacher. Maybe. But that's it.
So there's my rant for this evening...considering I haven't blogged in days I think that was a great way to come back!

Newsies
So today I watched Newsies.
Honestly, it's an ok movie.
I mean...it was good but not the best movie I've ever seen.
I watched it with my friend and I think the most exciting part was when I felt smart by explaining Yellow Journalism to her.
Then yesterday I attempted to watch Good Night and Good Luck.
No matter how big of a journalism nerd I am, and no matter how much I know about Edward R. Murrow and how many times I've recited his speech "Wires and Lights in a Box", I will never understand that movie.
So yeah, Shattered Glass tops all.
And I know this is random, but normally I write in Arial font.
But now I'm writing in Helvetica.
Both are similar, and they are both sans-serif fonts.
I just noticed this while writing and felt the need to point it out.

I just feel the need to blog.
So now I'm addicted to tumblr, and I've been neglecting this blog, and I feel bad.
So here's what's up:
Wednesday was an awesome day. Totally awesome. It was 8 hours with a bunch of other journalism nerds like myself, and I had a strawberry banana smoothie. I discussed the possibility of Indiana University with an IU-bound kid who's pretty awesome (and stalks my blog).
I listened to this guy who's ancestors came from Scotland talk about how great it is that....actually I have no idea how his Scottish relatives relate to the First Amendment. I was pretty distracted by the spiffy vest he was wearing.
Then we went to McDonald's and all of us were nearly attacked by little 6th graders from Kentucky. Like seriously, those kids were all crazy. Every one of them.
Well...................yeah that was my awesome Wednesday :)
Thanks for the oppurtunity!
